Ski Day

I've been waiting for this day for a long time. The poor skis have been sitting in a corner since March. But finally it snowed, so yesterday I slipped away to Sinaia to have a bit of fun.

I got there late (11:00) and it took me more than 2 hours to get to the slope because there were huge queues at the cabe cars (note to self: get up early next time!). But most people were only pedestrians, so the slope was free. I had just a couple of hours on the slope, but they were pretty intense, with Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony screaming in my ears, wind blasting in my face, and me totally not caring about it. :) I think I squeezed about 10 runs in those 2 hours. Then some more queues getting down from the mountain, and a train back home. Gotta do that again sometime soon!

Now I'm off to Schimb de Cărţi - a monthly event where people come to exchange books. I'm giving back Neverwhere (Neil Gaiman) and Dubliners (James Joyce).
