Hard Disk Failure

The hard disk on my macbook died a couple of days before the new year and I've been using an older computer since then. Most hardware stores were closed until yesterday; I finally got me a replacement disk (100GB 7200rpm Seagate) which should be faster than the old one. Last night I got to see how good Time Machine is at restoring data (in short: I can't complain, it still restored the system just like it was, but I had to hack it a little).

So now I'm busy moving back to the laptop (reorganizing mail, moving the rss reader's database and some random files, etc). It sure is good to have my cozy macbook back.
