Poiana Braşov

The ITerating gang, boss included, spent a couple of days at Poiana Braşov. I snapped some picures; I should have taken many more, but alternating issues of dead batteries, frozen hands and enjoyment of self have conspired against me.

On day one we walked about and came over the remains of a party, several blocks of ice lying about, with grapes and glasses encased in them. In the evening I obsessed about this pretty candle at the hotel and took dozens of photos until I got it right - good practice with the manual functions of the camera. :)

On day two we did some serious skiing. The slopes in Poiana Braşov are great and the snow was unbelievable.

Before we left, we all went to the top of the big slope (beginners included) for one big last ride. The fog at the top was thicker than ever and we had to find our way down, preferably on the easy slope, which was not marked that well. Lucky for us some friendly guy decided to guide us down. The first 3 photos were taken in a matter of seconds, I'm surprised they turned out well. I like my camera. :)

That last run delayed our return plans in the evening and we were afraid we'd lose the train. We organized an emergency operation, with one group racing to buy train tickets and another group going for food; it turned out ok.

Over-exposed photo in the train, I didn't take it, but I like it
