I declare myself a triskaidekaphiliac. The word amuses me so much that I just had to blog about it.

All it means is that I like the number "13". It's considered an unlucky number, and I'm not superstitious, so I picked it as my favourite number just to raise eyebrows. Some people take the bad luck associated with the number "13" seriously; they even made up a word for it, triskaidekaphobia. Take phobia - fear - and replace it with philia, and you get my new favourite word (my previous favourite word was defenestration).
