Sporadic blogging
I've been neglecting the blog lately, partly because of work, but mostly because my enthusiasm for writing oscillates with a periodicity of a few weeks. Maybe it has someting to do with Ivan Sutherland's theory on courage: it's a scarce resource which one has in a limited amount, and sometimes I focus it elsewhere. Maybe it's because I secretly hope to grow a big readership, and from time to time I feel discouraged. Maybe it's because I want to be proud of the stuff that I publish, so I spend a lot of time on each article, rewording and reorganizing.
And the silly thing is that I have lots of things to talk about. For one thing, I've arrived in Australia, staying for a week, attending the TDWG conference. It's 5 AM here in Perth and I'm seriously jet-lagged and I decided to have a whack at writing something for my long-neglected blog :)

Take pictures, and enjoy. It should be spring in Australia, right?
Spring indeed. Not much time for walking around, but I'll definitely have some pictures. Seafood is surprisingly good.
