PyCon pictures

The "conference" part of PyCon is over, and I'll have some words on that later, but I took pictures (not as many as I could have). I'm not really happy with how they turned out, but in my defense I'll say I'm not used to this camera, it's borrowed – thanks, Miruna & Cornel!

Talks happened in the grand ballroom, which they divided up into 4 smaller rooms for most sessions, so there were 4 parallel tracks. Keynote and lightning talks were in plenary though.

Most of the grand ballroom; most of the times it looked pretty full

All talks were filmed and will be published at pycon.blip.tv
Hallway track: hive of activity during breaks, great place to meet people

PyCon also featured "Open Spaces", several rooms for attendees to use however they wanted. The protocol was to book a room on the board; whoever shows up is the right group.

Testing people in an open space, they had their own lightning talks thing one evening

The main conference is followed by four days of sprints. Yesterday was the first, and lots of people are working on lots of projects. Conference organizers managed to provide rooms, food and wifi for sprinters, yay!
