Copenhagen
I'm back home after two months in Copenhagen. I was on-site at the EEA, doing IT support for a new project. I got to be The Consultant, coming up with software ideas and making them happen, which turned out to be fun and made me feel important. Perhaps I'll summon up the energy to write about that.
Copenhagen is pleasantly small and quiet and well-run, the agency operates in a nice & central building, I had a cozy apartment in a great neighborhood, really nothing to complain about. You can do touristy stuff, Helsingør and Roskilde are good candidates for day trips by train, and the boat tour in Copenhagen was a lot of fun.
Still, two months is an awfully long time to be away from home – it's like my life was on pause. I must have missed out on the whole "spring" thing in Bucharest, which is a shame. Instead I had windy 9° days, one after another. Also, I missed Eau de Web. I'm going back with big plans to improve the way we go about throwing together software. Beware.
